Avah

Avah is a spelling of Ava with a final h. Ava has more than one proposed historical route, including connections with older Germanic names and with Eve in some naming traditions. Its earliest meaning is uncertain, so a family's intended connection is more useful than assigning several unrelated translations at once.

The added h changes the appearance while leaving Avah close to the familiar Ava form. It can create a visual link with other names ending in h, though those names do not necessarily share its origin. Avah can stand as a full name without expansion. Comparing the two spellings lets parents weigh the written form separately from the broader history of the Ava family.
