Elayna

Elayna is a modern spelling associated with Elaine and Elena, forms in the wider Helen name family. “Bright” or “shining light” is a familiar traditional interpretation, but Helen’s deeper derivation is uncertain. It is therefore more accurate to describe the family relationship than to promise one proven literal translation.

The ay sequence makes the intended middle vowel particularly visible to many English readers. Elaine is the closest comparison without a final a, while Elena presents another established form with a different written vowel pattern. Families honoring a Helen or Elaine can retain the connection through Elayna while choosing the spelling and spoken form they prefer.
