Elliana

Elliana is a double-l spelling of Eliana. In its Hebrew interpretation, the name combines a reference to God with a root meaning “answered,” giving the sense “my God has answered.” That makes it a meaningful option for families drawn to a name expressing gratitude or a response to prayer.

Eliana also has a separate proposed connection with the Roman Aelius name family, sometimes associated with the sun. That explanation is less certain and should not be added to the Hebrew translation as though both were one meaning. Elliana makes Ellie particularly apparent in the spelling, while Elle and Ana offer other short forms. The additional l changes the written form, rather than the usual four-syllable English pronunciation.
