A little maybe, saved for later.
The story behind the name
Enzo originated as the Italian variation of Heinz, a German name derived from Heinrich, related to Henry. As such, it's meaning would be "home ruler". Alternatively, it has long been used as short form of names lik Vincenzo ("conquering"), Fiorenzo ("flourishing"), or Lorenzo ("from Laurentum, laurel").
One of the most famous bearers of the name is Enzo Ferrari, founder of the luxury sports car brand, while other notable bearers include football manager Enzo Maresca and football player Enzo Fernández.
While Enzo is technically an Italian form of Henry, it can also be short for such Italian names as Lorenzo or Vincenzo. And now there's a feminine form emerging, Enza, thanks to ID cover model and influencer Enza Khoury.
