Ericka

Ericka is a feminine form in the Eric family, ultimately connected with an Old Norse name whose elements are commonly interpreted as ever and ruler. It brings together the c and k found separately in Erica and Erika, giving this spelling its own recognizable appearance while keeping the same personal-name ancestry.

The Eric family has a long Scandinavian history, with feminine forms developing alongside the masculine name in later European use. Ricki is one familiar form that can work in everyday life, while Ericka remains the complete name. Although Erica is also the botanical name for heather, Ericka's clearest route is through Eric rather than through a separate Italian plant word.
