Ezriel

Ezriel is a form of Azriel, a Hebrew name combining help with a reference to God. The usual meaning, God is my help, makes it a complete religious statement rather than simply the word helper. The -el ending places it within a familiar group of Hebrew names that include God as an element.

The opening e distinguishes this spelling from Azriel while preserving the same name family. Ezri can serve as a shorter form, although it also exists as a name in its own right. Ezra shares the help-related root but has a different full construction. For a family choosing Ezriel, the combination of a recognizable Hebrew structure and a less familiar spelling can preserve a meaningful religious or ancestral connection.
