Gianella

Gianella extends the Gian and Gianna name family into a longer, flowing form. These Italian names connect with Giovanni and Giovanna, the counterparts of John and Joan, whose Hebrew root concerns God's graciousness. A family may also choose Gianella as a combination name, bringing a Gian-related name together with Ella.

That makes Gianella a possible way to remember a John or Joan while giving a child a name with a different rhythm. Gianna preserves a shorter Italian form, and Giovanna makes the full family relationship especially clear. In Gianella, the ending creates space for a personal naming story; it does not need to be translated into a single phrase with the meaning of Ella.
