Honesty

Honesty is an English virtue name taken directly from the word for truthfulness and integrity. It belongs to the same broad naming approach as Faith, Hope, and Charity: an abstract value becomes a personal name. The meaning is immediately recognizable to English speakers without needing an older language translation.

Honesti is a spelling alternative, while Honesty preserves the ordinary English word in full. Choosing it can express a family’s values, but the name should not be treated as a test a child must constantly pass. Its identity comes from the virtue word itself, rather than from a surname, place, or longer traditional name that needs to be shortened.
