Jael

Jael is a biblical Hebrew name associated with a mountain goat or ibex. Yael is another familiar transliteration, with the two spellings reflecting different ways of writing the original name in English letters. Its biblical association belongs to a named woman, rather than requiring a place-name explanation.

The initial letter can lead to different pronunciations in English: Jael may invite an English j sound, while Yael makes a y sound more apparent. Families choosing it for the Hebrew or biblical connection may want to establish their preferred reading from the beginning. The animal meaning and the textual history are both useful parts of the story without adding an astrological requirement.
