Jenesis

Jenesis is a modern spelling of Genesis, an English word from Greek referring to origin, birth, or coming into being. Genesis is also the title of the first book of the Bible, which gives the name a recognizable scriptural association. The initial J changes the written form without supplying a different meaning.

Jen or Jenny provides an everyday short form that may feel familiar alongside names such as Jennifer, although Jenesis is not historically derived from Jennifer. Parents may choose it for the idea of a beginning, a religious connection, or its sound. Comparing Jenesis with Genesis helps clarify whether the distinctive initial letter is important or whether preserving the ordinary word spelling is preferable.
