Keily

Keily is used as a modern spelling associated with several different names, including Kylie, Keeley, and Kelly. Those names do not all share one origin or pronunciation. A definite meaning such as “war” cannot be assigned to every Keily simply because one proposed connection leads to an Irish surname.

The ei sequence may lead English readers toward either a kee-lee or kye-lee sound, making a family’s preferred pronunciation especially useful to share. Parents choosing Keily to honor a relative can use that person’s name as the starting point for its history. Those choosing it for sound can compare the related-looking forms without assuming they are interchangeable.
