Kenia

Kenia is a spelling associated with Kenya, the East African country. It is used as a personal name as well as a geographic reference, with singer and actress Kenia Arias among its bearers. The familiar explanation “mountain of white” concerns interpretations of the older place name and is better treated cautiously than as an exact translation of every Kenia.

Compared with Kenya, the i gives this spelling a different written shape without necessarily changing the intended English sound. Families may choose it for a geographic connection, a relative, or the name itself. If a specific language or family pronunciation matters, that is worth introducing alongside the spelling rather than assuming every reader will say it identically.
