Keyla

Keyla is a spelling variation of Kayla, a name with several proposed routes. Kayla may function as a short form of a longer name or as a modern independent formation, so the meanings attached to Michaela or other suggested relatives should not all be combined into Keyla's definition. The spelling by itself does not establish one universal ancient origin.

Keyla is often intended to sound like Kayla, although some readers may initially use a different first vowel. Actress Keyla Monterroso Mejia is a recognizable bearer of this form. Parents comparing the two spellings can consider the intended pronunciation and any particular family names being honored, rather than choosing between conflicting lists of supposed meanings.
