Klara

Klara is an established form of Clara used in German, Scandinavian, and several Slavic naming traditions. The older Latin root clarus means clear or bright and can also carry the sense of renowned. The K spelling belongs to those language traditions rather than necessarily being a recent modification of the English form.

Clara offers the closest comparison, with both names sharing the same historical root. For families whose relatives use Klara, keeping the K can preserve an important detail of language and family identity. Pronunciation varies between languages even when the spelling stays the same, so choosing Klara does not require adopting one universal English rendering of the vowels.
