Korbin

Korbin is a spelling variation of Corbin, a surname name connected with an Old French word for a raven. That word ultimately relates to Latin corvus. The bird connection supplies a clear natural meaning, while the k gives the name a different visual opening from the more familiar surname spelling.

Korbin's two syllables and firm consonants make it easy to compare with names such as Colton or Kieran for sound, although their origins differ. Corbin is the most useful spelling comparison, especially if the name honors a surname in the family. Korb can be used informally, but the full name is already compact. Parents drawn to bird names may like that the reference is less obvious in everyday English than Raven itself.
