Mylee

Mylee is an alternative spelling of Miley, a name that became widely recognizable through singer and actor Miley Cyrus. Her familiar name developed from the childhood nickname Smiley before becoming her legal given name. That personal naming story helps explain the modern popularity of the sound without creating an ancient meaning for every child given the name.

Mylee keeps the usual two-syllable English pronunciation while changing the ending to -lee. The spelling can make the final sound particularly clear, and it also resembles many contemporary names that use Lee as a component. In this case, however, the Miley connection is the more direct explanation. A family may choose Mylee for its sound or a personal association with that name.
