Nazaria

Nazaria is a feminine form of Nazarius, a Latin name describing someone from Nazareth. The town’s importance in Christian tradition, especially its association with Jesus, gives the name a clear religious and geographic background. Its meaning concerns belonging to a place rather than translating directly as the name of a virtue.

Saint Nazaria Ignacia March Mesa is a notable bearer who gives the name a more recent Catholic connection. The -aria ending creates a flowing four-syllable form familiar within Spanish naming patterns. Nazario is a related masculine form, while Nazaria stands as a complete feminine name in its own right. Families may choose it for a devotion, a saint, or the particular place association behind it.
