Preslee

Preslee is a modern spelling of Presley, an English surname usually explained as “priest's clearing” or “priest's meadow.” The older leah element refers to a clearing or woodland opening. The ee ending changes the modern written form without introducing a different ancient meaning.

The surname Presley is widely recognizable through Elvis Presley, although a family choosing Preslee need not intend a musical tribute. Preslee preserves the familiar sound while making the final syllable look more like the name Lee. That visual resemblance does not prove the name was created by combining a separate Pres with Lee. The surname connection is the clearest starting point for understanding its background.
