Rihanna

Rihanna is associated with the Arabic Rayhana name family, referring to a fragrant plant, often basil. The meaning comes from aromatic greenery rather than from a flower alone, giving the name a botanical background that can be easy to miss in its modern celebrity setting. Rihana and Rayhana help make the connection with that family visible.

The singer known professionally as Rihanna has made this exact spelling recognizable across the world. That cultural association is separate from the name's older Arabic roots, so the name can carry both a contemporary musical identity and a plant meaning. Families may choose it for either connection, or because it is already part of their own naming tradition.
