Rori

Rori is a spelling variation of Rory, the English rendering of Irish Ruairí, traditionally interpreted as “red king.” The final i distinguishes this written form without changing the older meaning. Although Rori is often chosen for girls, the spelling remains connected with the same name family.

Rory provides the closest comparison, while Ruairí preserves the Irish form more directly. Rori is a complete name and does not require a longer feminine name behind it. Families may choose the spelling to match a relative or simply prefer its appearance, while keeping the established red-king interpretation separate from unrelated meanings attached to similar names.
