Rosa

Rosa is the Latin word for rose and an established given name in languages including Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese. Its botanical meaning is direct, while its long personal-name history gives it more context than a newly adopted flower word. Civil rights figure Rosa Parks and artist Rosa Bonheur are notable historical bearers.

Rose is the closest English comparison, and Rosita is a familiar diminutive in Spanish. Rosa adds a final syllable while keeping the flower connection immediately visible. A family can choose it for an inherited name, a language tradition, or the blossom itself without needing to attach a particular personality or color symbolism to the child.
