Zariah

Zariah is a modern name with several proposed connections. It is sometimes linked to Zahrah, to Azariah, or to Zaria, but those names come from different language traditions and do not share one meaning. “Flower,” “God has helped,” and “dawn” should therefore be treated as explanations of possible relatives, not three proven translations of Zariah itself.

The ending gives Zariah a different written shape from Zaria, even when a family pronounces them similarly. If you are choosing it for a particular heritage connection, comparing the proposed original name can help clarify that choice. Zariah can also simply be chosen for its sound, without attaching an uncertain ancient meaning to it.
