Ariela

Ariela is a feminine form of Ariel, a Hebrew name combining elements for lion and God. The ending gives it a different shape while preserving the familiar interpretation “lion of God.” Its use in more than one community does not require separate meanings for each language in which families encounter it.

Ariel is the closest root-name comparison, and Ariella offers a doubled-l spelling with a similar rhythm. Ariela keeps one l and an explicit final a, which may be important when honoring a particular relative. Families can choose it for the Hebrew connection or simply its sound, while keeping the established derivation separate from symbolic qualities they personally associate with lions.
