Aron

Aron is an established spelling of Aaron used across several languages. Aaron is the biblical brother of Moses and a central figure in the priestly tradition. Its ancient etymology is uncertain; interpretations such as “exalted” or “high mountain” are familiar proposals rather than a securely demonstrated translation.

The single a gives Aron a shorter written shape while preserving the recognizable name family. Aaron is the closest English comparison, though pronunciation can vary across communities. Families honoring a biblical figure or a relative can keep that connection without relying on an uncertain literal meaning, and may prefer Aron when it matches their own language’s spelling convention.
