Artist

Artist is an English word name that makes its central idea immediately clear. The word can describe someone working in visual art, music, performance, or another creative field, so the name does not have to refer to one particular medium. It may express a family’s connection with the arts or its appreciation for imagination and skilled expression.

Unlike an older occupational surname, Artist keeps the ordinary modern word unchanged as a first name. That makes its association more direct than a name that only indirectly recalls an artistic figure. Art could be a convenient everyday shortening, although Artist is already complete. The choice can celebrate creativity without requiring the child to follow a particular career or develop a prescribed talent.
