Azari

Azari is a modern name with more than one proposed connection. It may be influenced by Hebrew Azariah, a name associated with divine help, or by Azhari, used in other naming traditions. Those possibilities should be treated separately rather than combining “helped by God” and a brightness meaning into one certain translation.

The final i gives Azari a different written ending from Azaria and Azariah, even when the names are pronounced with a similar rhythm. A particular family may be preserving a relative’s name or creating a new variation. Knowing that intention makes the story more precise than inferring an origin solely from the prominent z sound.
