Bobbi

Bobbi is an affectionate name most often connected with Roberta, the feminine form of Robert. That route leads to Germanic elements meaning bright and fame. It has also been used for Barbara, whose Greek-rooted meaning concerns a foreigner, so the longer name intended by a family changes the explanation of its background.

Makeup artist Bobbi Brown gives this spelling a recognizable public association. The final i creates a different written finish from Bobby or Bobbie while preserving the familiar sound. Bobbi can stand on its own or keep a connection to a longer family name, offering the warmth of a nickname without requiring a formal expansion.
