Draven

Draven is a modern name strongly associated with Eric Draven, the central character of The Crow. Its deeper linguistic derivation is not established, so it should not automatically be translated as “raven,” “hunter,” or another dramatic word. The sound may evoke raven for some listeners, but resemblance alone does not demonstrate a shared origin.

The name also appears in other fictional settings, which can make its screen and fantasy associations more prominent than a traditional family-name history. Dray is a possible everyday shortening, while the complete name has a clear two-syllable structure. Parents considering Draven may want to decide how much the fictional connection matters to them, since people who know The Crow are likely to recognize that association immediately.
