Eliott

Eliott belongs to the Elliot and Elliott surname-name family, commonly traced through a medieval familiar form of Elias. Elias is a form of Elijah, whose Hebrew meaning is expressed as “my God is Yahweh.” The name’s history therefore moves from a biblical personal name through medieval usage and surnames before its modern life as a given name.

This spelling uses one l and two t’s, distinguishing it from Elliot and Elliott without creating a separate inherited meaning. Eli offers a short everyday form, while the full Eliott preserves the recognizable surname shape. A family may choose the exact spelling to match an ancestor or simply because it is the form familiar in their own language and records.
