Elvis

Elvis is most strongly associated with Elvis Presley, but the name’s deeper origin remains uncertain. Proposed connections include an English surname route and an anglicized Irish saint’s name. Those possibilities do not establish one secure translation for every Elvis, and the singer’s fame should not be mistaken for the name’s point of origin.

Elvis Costello is another musical bearer, having adopted the name professionally. The two musicians make the sound particularly recognizable in English, while families may also have their own inherited connection. Choosing Elvis can therefore carry a deliberate musical tribute without requiring a confident ancient meaning that the available history does not securely support.
