Eren

Eren is a Turkish name associated with a saint or a person who has reached spiritual maturity. Its meaning belongs to Turkish language and tradition, even though the name is also recognizable internationally through the character Eren in Attack on Titan. A fictional bearer does not make Eren a Japanese word or change its original meaning.

Eren has two syllables and a concise four-letter spelling. Aaron and Erin may be useful comparisons for sound, but they have different origins and should not be presented as spelling variants. Families choosing Eren for Turkish heritage may want to establish their preferred pronunciation, since readers who know only the similar English names may initially approach it differently.
