Evalina

Evalina can be understood as a spelling of Evelina, whose name family is connected with Evelyn and Aveline. The oldest roots of that family are not securely settled. Evalina may also be chosen as an elaboration of Eva, but that is a separate route rather than proof that every Evalina means “life” combined with “pretty.”

The spelling has historical use, including nineteenth-century American records, so it is not only a newly invented blend. Evelina is the most direct comparison, while Eva can be a family's intended starting point. Knowing that intention is more useful than combining several unrelated dictionary meanings. Evalina's longer form and final a give it a different rhythm from either Eva or Evelyn.
