Evana

Evana is a feminine form of Evan, the Welsh name in the John family. Its inherited meaning is traditionally expressed as God is gracious. Adding the final a gives the short Evan a fuller shape while keeping the original name readily visible, making Evana a possible way to honor an Evan in the family.

Evan itself developed through Welsh forms related to Ieuan, showing how the John name traveled into different European languages. Evana continues that family through a later feminine formation. Ivana is a separate Slavic form within the broad John tradition, so the similar sounds reflect related naming histories without making the spellings interchangeable. The connection with Evan remains the clearest explanation for this form.
