Everlyn

Everlyn is a modern name whose precise formation is not firmly established. It sits close in sound and spelling to Evelyn and Everly, and either may influence an individual family's choice, but that resemblance does not establish one shared meaning. Everlyn is therefore better presented with its own documented use than given a definite translation borrowed from another name.

Australian actress Everlyn Sampi provides a notable example of the exact spelling. She played Molly in the 2002 film Rabbit-Proof Fence, which follows three Aboriginal girls trying to return home after being forcibly removed from their families. That gives Everlyn a specific connection with Australian film history. For everyday use, its additional r distinguishes it from Evelyn, a small spelling difference worth making clear when introducing the name.
