Malky

Malky is a familiar form of Malka, a Hebrew name meaning “queen.” The y ending gives it the shape of a diminutive used in Jewish naming, while the royal meaning comes from the longer name. It is a personal name, not a claim that the bearer holds a title or inherited status.

A family may use Malky as an everyday short form or as the official given name. Malka is the clearest comparison for its language and meaning, and the two can preserve the same family honor connection in different forms. Malky should not be linked with unrelated Mal names simply because they begin alike. Its cultural context is specific and more informative than describing it only as an unusual nickname.
