Nahomy

Nahomy is a spelling of Naomi used in Spanish-speaking naming contexts. It retains the Hebrew name's association with pleasantness while adding an h and a final y to the written form. Those changes do not create a new compound meaning; the biblical Naomi remains the starting point for understanding the name's history.

In the Book of Ruth, Naomi is Ruth's mother-in-law, and the relationship between the two women is central to the story. That gives Nahomy a connection with family loyalty and companionship as themes of the narrative, distinct from its literal meaning. Naomi is the most direct related form, while Nahomi offers another spelling with the same inserted h.
