Nathaly

Nathaly is a spelling in the Natalie and Nathalie family. The name ultimately comes from Latin vocabulary relating to birth and became associated in Christian naming with the birth of Christ and Christmas. “Birthday of the Lord” is a traditional explanation of that context, rather than a translation of each letter in the modern Nathaly spelling.

The h connects it visually with Nathalie, while the final y resembles Nataly. In many families the h does not create the English th sound, so the intended pronunciation is worth introducing clearly. Nat or Nathy can be used informally. Parents choosing Nathaly may be honoring a Christmas connection, a relative named Natalie, or simply their preferred version of an established international name family.
