Solei

Solei is a modern spelling associated with Soleil, the French word for sun. The French word descends from a Latin sun-word family, giving this naming route a clear natural image. Solei itself is an adapted spelling rather than the standard French noun, so the family connection is more precise than calling it an ordinary French word.

The missing final l changes the appearance of Soleil while preserving the intended sun association for many families. Soleil may be the clearer choice when a direct French-language reference matters, while Solei offers a shortened written form. Either way, the personal story can center on warmth, daylight, or a meaningful place, with those symbolic associations distinguished from the literal sun meaning.
