Stori

Stori is a modern spelling of Story, taken from the English word for an account or narrative. A story may be factual or fictional, so the name’s meaning is broader than a record of past events alone. Its literary association comes directly from ordinary vocabulary rather than from one specific book character.

The final i gives Stori a name-like spelling while usually preserving the sound of the dictionary word. Story and Storie are the closest comparisons. Astoria may offer a similar sound and could supply a family nickname, but it has its own place-name and surname history and is not automatically Stori’s formal version. The short name can stand independently with its storytelling meaning intact.
