Stormy

Stormy is an English weather word used as a name, bringing to mind wind, rain, and dramatic skies. It is related to the word name Storm, but the final y gives it a more familiar adjective form. The natural image can symbolize energy or change for a family, although the name does not predict a child’s temperament.

Stormi is a modern spelling alternative, made especially visible by Stormi Webster, while Stormy keeps the ordinary English word intact. That difference may guide parents who want either a direct nature word or a more name-like written variation. The underlying weather connection remains clear, placing Stormy alongside other names inspired by the atmosphere and the changing seasons.
