Summit

Summit is an English word name for the highest point of a mountain or another elevated feature. It can also describe the highest stage of an achievement, but that is a figurative use built on the physical image. The landscape meaning makes its connection to mountains direct, without requiring a place name or a translation from another language.

The word is also used for a meeting of leaders, a separate familiar association. As a first name, Summit does not identify one particular mountain in the way Everest does. Its two-syllable form instead emphasizes the idea of a peak itself. Ambition and accomplishment may be personal associations, rather than qualities the name predicts for a child.
