Trevon

Trevon is a modern name associated with Trevor and a wider group of forms including Trevin and Trevion. Its ending gives it a different shape from Trevor rather than simply shortening the older name. Because the precise formation can vary, it is safer to describe that name-family connection than to assign Trevon an independent ancient translation.

The final syllable is important when comparing the options: Trevon, Trevin, and Trevion can be intended as different spoken names, not only different spellings. A family using Trevon to honor a Trevor may value the shared beginning while preserving that distinction. The name stands alone and does not require Trevor as a formal version on documents.
