Viktoria

Viktoria is a spelling of Victoria used in German and several other European languages. The name comes from the Latin word victoria, meaning “victory,” and was also the name of the Roman personification of victory. The k spelling reflects language conventions while preserving the same underlying word and historical connection.

Related forms include Russian Viktoriya, which makes the final glide visible in Latin letters, and the familiar English Victoria. A family may choose Viktoria to keep the spelling found in its own language or documents, especially when honoring a relative. Viki and Vika are possible shorter forms within the broader name family. The full name combines a direct Latin meaning with a European spelling history that has developed in several different communities.
