Vittoria

Vittoria is the Italian form of Victoria, a name connected with the Latin word for victory. The Italian spelling replaces the c sound of Victoria with a doubled t, giving the name a different rhythm while keeping the underlying meaning. It is an established language form rather than a modern alteration made only for appearance.

Victoria was also the Roman personification of victory, so the wider name family carries a classical association as well as a straightforward word meaning. A family choosing Vittoria may want to honor an Italian background or retain a relative's exact name. Vita is a possible affectionate shortening, while the full form makes the relationship with Victoria especially clear.
