Adalina

Adalina belongs to the Germanic name family associated with the element adal, meaning noble. It is related in form to Adelina and Adeline, with a final a giving it a distinct rhythm. The separate claim “God is my refuge” does not fit this Germanic explanation and should not be combined with it as a second certain meaning.

Ada and Lina provide short forms from opposite ends of the name. Families choosing Adalina can preserve the noble-related name tradition while deciding whether the full name or one of those shorter forms will be used daily. The form need not be interpreted as a new mixture of two unrelated names.
