Bruno

Bruno is an established European name traditionally connected with a Germanic word for brown. It has been used across several languages and has a long history among saints and other historical figures. Its final o is part of that established form rather than a recent addition to an English name.

Saint Bruno and modern figures such as wrestler Bruno Sammartino provide different kinds of namesakes. The character Bruno in Encanto and the stage name Bruno Mars give it additional musical associations. These references do not change the underlying color meaning, and the two-syllable name remains complete without a longer formal version or an obligatory nickname.
