Kaycen

Kaycen is a modern spelling in the Cason and Kaysen family. It combines sounds familiar from several contemporary names, but there is no securely established single translation for this exact form. Proposed links with older surnames should not turn Kaycen automatically into either a place-name meaning or a statement about bravery.

The spelling uses y to signal the long first vowel and c for the middle consonant. Kaysen, Kayson, and Cason give parents useful alternatives with a similar rhythm. Kay is a possible short form, although the full name is already brief. Choosing the written version you prefer can matter especially when several forms are likely to sound alike.
