Kolten

Kolten is a spelling variation of Colton, a name adopted from an English surname. Colton is associated with place names, often explained through a coal or dark settlement, but individual surname histories can differ. Kolten preserves that family relationship while changing both the opening letter and the unstressed vowel near the end.

Baseball player Kolten Wong is a recognizable bearer of this spelling. Kolton and Colton offer close comparisons with a similar English rhythm. Families using a particular surname as an honor name may prefer to retain its original written form, while Kolten provides a distinct first-name spelling without establishing a new meaning of its own.
