Mikhael

Mikhael is a transliterated form of Michael, ultimately from the Hebrew name Mikha'el. Its meaning is the question who is like God? The question is rhetorical, expressing that no one is comparable to God, rather than describing the bearer as godlike. This distinction is an important part of the name's religious background.

Michael is known as an angelic figure in Jewish, Christian, and Islamic traditions. Mikhael keeps the kh spelling often used when sounds from another writing system are brought into English letters. Families may prefer this form for its connection with their own language or community, while Michael remains a closely related alternative.
