Jazmin

Jazmin belongs to the Jasmine name family, whose flower word came into European languages through Persian. The z spelling is familiar in Spanish, where the accented word jazmín also names the plant. “Gift from God” is sometimes attached to the name online, but the botanical meaning is the more reliable explanation of its history.

Jasmine is the closest familiar English comparison, while Yasmin preserves another form of the same word family. The flower association gives Jazmin a specific nature connection, including the plant’s well-known fragrance. Pronunciation and stress can differ between English and Spanish, so the family’s preferred reading matters alongside the choice of spelling.
